The Hassyan 180 MIGD SWRO IWP is a massive seawater reverse osmosis plant under development in Jebel Ali, Dubai. With an investment of roughly USD 1 billion, it will produce 180 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD) of potable water—powered entirely by solar energy, making it the world’s largest renewable energy-powered desalination facility.

Developed by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and ACWA Power, the project has achieved early production milestones and will eventually meet the daily water needs of approximately 1.8 million residents.
