The Etihad Rail Tunnel – Fujairah & Ras Al Khaimah, UAE refers to the series of railway tunnels constructed as part of the Etihad Rail network through the mountainous terrain of the northern emirates, particularly the Hajar Mountains. These tunnels were among the most technically challenging parts of the UAE’s national railway project and were built to enable freight and future passenger trains to travel safely and efficiently between inland regions and the east coast.
